ONLINE COUNSELING FOR COUPLES IN FLORIDA

I’m Emily, and I provide Gottman Method online couples counseling.

Because it’s never too late to fall back in love.

If you’re new to couples counseling, you may have a few concerns:

  • This might be the worst thing you both have dealt with but I believe there’s hope. In fact, I’ve worked with others who have gone through similar situations and recovered. It doesn’t matter what stage your relationship is in; any couple can benefit from couples counseling.

  • No. I won’t take your partner’s side (or yours). I’m on the side of your relationship. My goal is to identify where the relationship needs help and give you both the tools to course-correct and strengthen your relationship.

  • It depends on what the goal is and this is specific to each couple. Counseling starts with an assessment period that helps me understand where we need to target our work together. After the assessment period, counseling can take anywhere from six weeks to six months or longer. In cases where there has been infidelity, effective couples counseling could take six months to one year

    I don’t believe counseling should last indefinitely. I’m committed to helping you learn successful and lasting ways to strengthen your relationship —eventually phasing myself out of your journey.

My Background:

  • I am a Florida transplant. Originally from Long Island, NY

  • I am a Coast Guard veteran (7 years active duty)

  • I graduated with my bachelor’s degree (BA) in psychology from American Military University in 2013.

  • I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2015 with a Masters's Degree in Social Work with certificates in Couples Counseling and Military and Veteran Affairs

In my free time, you’ll find me spending time with my husband, two children, and two dogs.

I also love being at the beach, hiking, and exercising.
